1:1 meetings

Everything starts with a human touch, a face-to-face meeting between you and your manager—the 1:1 is the foundation of all our growth processes.
Every week you'll meet your manager for 30 minutes (or a different cadence, depending on what you'll decide assisted by your manager) to dive into discussions that span from your daily tasks to your career aspirations, ensuring every step you take is in sync with Nebulab’s overarching vision.
It’s a time for unfiltered dialogue, exploration of opportunities, and charting your course in Nebulab.

Skip-level 1:1 meetings

A "skip-level" meeting, while bearing semblance to a regular 1:1, propels your voice directly to Nebulab’s leadership team, whether a Director or a Managing Partner. These meetings embody our belief in transparent, inclusive communication, ensuring every voice, regardless of rank, is not merely heard but genuinely valued.
It’s a practice that dismantles silos, cultivating a unified understanding and guaranteeing that our leadership remains accessible, attuned, and actively engaged with every tier of our team.

Feedback

Navigating through your journey at Nebulab, you'll discover a culture intricately woven with supportive and timely feedback, ensuring that every step you take is both acknowledged and guided. Competency matrix and IDPs

Navigating your career trajectory at Nebulab is streamlined by three pivotal tools: the Career Handbook, a Competency Matrix, and an Individual Development Plan (IDP). The Career Handbook provides some generic guidelines for your role, presenting clear anti-patterns and expected responsibilities.

The Competency Matrix identifies your current capabilities and sketches a clear path toward your next career milestones. It provides a detailed framework, highlighting the skills and expertise you should develop and refine to move forward in your chosen path.

Lastly, your IDP acts as your personalized plan for action, pinpointing the actions you need to focus on to reach your career objectives. It crafts a structured, step-by-step plan that ensures your career development is not only aspirational but achievable and grounded in daily actions and development.

Performance Reviews

Navigating your journey at Nebulab mandates regular checkpoints to reflect, assess, and envision the way forward, exemplified by our semi-annual performance reviews. These sessions, happening twice a year, are less about stringent evaluation and more about pivotal, enriching discussions focusing on your growth, achievements, and future aspirations.

Our approach is less about micro-assessment and more about nurturing progress through comprehensive, forward-looking feedback. Your happiness and progression are our focus, encompassing a thorough exploration of your accomplishments, challenges, and future intentions.

Proactive and preventive, our feedback culture ensures that nothing in your review comes as a surprise. We prioritize ongoing, honest feedback, which means areas for development are identified and tackled well before review sessions, facilitating continuous personal and professional evolution.

Utilizing the competency matrix and individual development plans (IDPs), you and your manager carve out your developmental trajectory, identifying growth areas and opportunities for further enhancement and focus.

These reviews thus serve as both a reflection of the past and a catalyst for the future, sketching a roadmap for the subsequent six months. Surveys and Pulse Surveys

In addition to everything we talked above, we run company surveys to make sure everyone's voice is heard. Our bi-annual engagement surveys aren't just organizational check-ins—they're an avenue for you to reflect on your journey, aspirations, and areas of development.
This anonymous feedback opportunity isn't just about the company's trajectory; it's also about ensuring your path at Nebulab aligns with your personal and professional goals. After gathering insights, we transparently discuss the results and create action plans.
In between these comprehensive reflections, we run pulse surveys, concise 2-3 question check-ins, to see how you're feeling about the initiatives we've collaboratively set in motion.
