Use the Agent in your browser (Chrome Extension)

The  Slite Agent Chrome Extension  lets you access answers directly on any web page, without switching tools.

Installation

Download the extension from the Chrome Web Store:
The Slite Agent extension works with both Basic and Pro/Enterprise plans. It will use Ask on Basic plan, and the full Slite Agent on other plans.
The standalone Ask by Slite extension is deprecated. Install the Slite Agent extension instead.

What it does

With the Slite Agent Chrome Extension, you can:
  • Access the Agent Anywhere: Launch the Slite Agent side panel on any webpage to search your connected tools.
  • Use Page Context: Ask the Agent questions that incorporate the content of the page you are currently viewing.
  • Run One-Click Prompts: Use  Contextual Buttons  inside apps like Intercom and Zendesk to draft replies, summarize conversations and more.
Launch the Agent anytime with Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + K or by clicking the extension icon.

How it works

Agent Search on Any Page

When you open the extension, the Agent automatically reads the visible text on the page (like headings, body text, and links) and uses it as context for your query, combining it with your connected data sources.
  • Supported Pages: Best used on internal wikis, help centers, documentation, or CRM records.
  • Removing Context: You can manually remove the page context before submitting your query by clicking the “x” in the extension panel.
  • Unsupported Formats: The Agent cannot read content from PDF files, image-based text, or other non-readable formats.

Run one-click agent prompts with Contextual Buttons

The extension enables the functionality of  Run one-click agent prompts with Contextual Buttons , which appear automatically on support tickets or conversations in tools like Intercom and Zendesk.
These buttons run saved agent prompts on the page content in one click, such as drafting replies, summarizing threads, or finding similar issues.
No additional integration or setup is needed, as the Agent uses the page content and your connected tools to run the action.
