Connect Jira with Slite to embed live previews of issues directly in your docs — great for keeping product, engineering, and support teams aligned.
How the Jira integration works
When you paste a Jira issue into a Slite doc, it automatically displays as a rich preview tile instead of a plain URL. These tiles:
- Show the title, status, and key details
- Expand to reveal the issue properties (e.g. project, priority, description)
- Link directly back to Jira
- Stay in sync automatically as the original content changes
You can also use the /Jira command directly in the editor.
How to set up the Jira integration
You must be an admin in both Slite and Jira to set up the integration.
Slite supports per-team authentication. This means you set authentication for the entire workspace, just the once.
There are two ways to connect Jira to Slite:
Go to the
Integrations section in your Slite settings, click Add Integrations , then click Install next to Jira.
Alternatively, you can paste a URL of a Jira card in a Slite doc. You will then be prompted to allow Slite to connect to Jira.
