Slite uses a credit-based system for AI features including the Slite Agent maintenance and search. The cost of a request depends on how much work the AI does, so you only pay for what you actually use — simple questions cost very little, while heavier workflows cost more.
This page explains what credits are, what they cost you, and how they're consumed.
What credits are
Credits measure usage of AI features: the Slite Agent and Super Ask. Each plan that includes these features comes with a monthly credit allowance, pooled at the workspace level — everyone in your workspace draws from the same pool. (Note: the basic "Ask" feature on the Basic plan does not consume credits — it has a separate quota of 30 questions per seat/month.)
How much a request costs depends on the work involved: a quick question uses only a credit or two, while a multi-step Assistant, an MCP-powered request, a Digest, or a full Agent run uses more.
What's included with each plan
The Slite Agent is included on Pro and Enterprise plans. The Basic plan doesn't include the Slite Agent, and so doesn't include credits.
Basic
Not included (Slite Agent not available)
Pro
50 credits per seat / month
Enterprise
50 credits per seat / month (minimum; customisable per org)
Included credits are pooled across the workspace and reset on your workspace's billing cycle date each month — they don't roll over.
What a request costs
Different requests consume different amounts depending on how much the Agent does behind the scenes. A few illustrative examples*:
A simple question
~2 credits
A Digest run
~10 credits
*These are rough guides. Simpler queries can cost less, while reading long documents, adding more steps, or deeper reasoning use more credits.
What happens when you run out
When your workspace uses up its monthly credits, the Slite Agent is paused until your credits reset at the start of the next month. Other parts of Slite — your docs, editing, and search — keep working as normal.
Managing credits (admins)
Workspace admins can review credit usage in workspace settings, including total credits consumed, a per-user breakdown, and a custom date range picker to filter usage over time.
Top-up credits
Organizations can purchase additional credit packages to use when their monthly allowance runs out. Top-up credits expire after 1 year and do not reset at month-end — they are consumed as you use them.
Coming soon
We're actively building more on top of the credit system. These aren't available yet:
- Spending limits — setting a monthly cap on automatic top-ups, or leaving it unlimited.
- Expanded usage analytics — more filtering (by group or activity type) and export.
