How does Ask generate a response to my question?

Answers are created based on the most relevant docs in your Slite workspace. The answer can come from a single source, or be synthesized from many. But it will only draw on content you have access to.

Is Ask related to GPT3 or chatGPT?

We use GPT at one point in the process to generate a readable answer to your question. This helps make the answers feel more human. ChatGPT obviously also use the GPT model to generate text, but the similarity stops there. Ask is made to answer your questions, not to have conversations (for now 👀).

How is Ask different from a regular search?

Ask is able to compare your question to particular content in documents in a much more specific and meaningful way than a normal keyword search. It uses the benefits of language processing and AI to understand your intention, to find relevant passages (even if they don't use the same wording you typed!), and to synthesize that information into a cohesive answer

How is Ask different from NotionAI?

Ask is about making use of knowledge you already have. It makes it easier to find clear answers and unlock insights from in your team's existing docs.

NotionAI, on the other hand, is focused on the content creation side. It can be called on to help draft content, get ideas, or generate content.
