Workspace owners and admins can manage members and guests in Slite — from roles and activity tracking to archiving and restoring users.
View and Manage Members & Guests
To manage the people in your workspace, click your team logo in the top left, choose
Settings, then Member management.You'll be able to:
- view the lists of members and guests via the respective tabs at the top
- choose who has the permission to invite new people
- search for a member or guest
- filter through the lists of members and guests
- the filters available are
Show archived membersandPending invites only - see the last time a member or guest was active in Slite
- export the entire users list as a .csv
- In the
Activecolumn, you can see whether a user has been active in the last 30 days: - 1 = active within the last 30 days
- 0 = inactive within the last 30 days
- invite new people to join your workspace
- resend invitations
- change the role of members
- archive users

Change a Member’s Role
Admins and owners can change user roles.
Contact support if you need to transfer the Owner of a workspace.
To change the role of a user, click its role in the Role column, then choose another role from the list.
While guests can be converted into members, members cannot be converted into guests.

Resend an Invitation
To resend an invitation, click the
Resend button next to the email address of the user in the Name column.Archive a User
Archiving is ideal when someone leaves your team but might return later.
To archive someone, click the
Archive user button to the right of their details. Once you confirm that action, the user won't be able to use Slite anymore until they are restored.Restore a User
You can still access the archived users and restore them if needed:
- Click the
Filterbutton and toggle onShow archived members - Click
Restoreto the right of the user's details

Tip: You can click
Transfer doc ownership to be redirected to the Knowledge Management Panel and make sure their docs can still be managed.What happens to the user's data once their account gets archived?
- Shared docs remain in channels
- Private docs (from
My private channelare sent via email as a backup .zip - They will have 15 days to download their docs.
- After 15 days, the backup cannot be downloaded anymore.
