Connect GitHub with Slite to embed live previews of issues and pull requests directly in your docs — great for keeping product, engineering, and support teams aligned.
How the GitHub integration works
When you paste a GitHub issue or PR link into a Slite doc, it automatically displays as a rich preview tile instead of a plain URL. These tiles:
- Show the title, status, and key details
- Expand to reveal the full issue or PR content
- Link directly back to GitHub
- Stay in sync automatically as the original content changes

You can also use the /GitHub command directly in the editor.
How to set up the GitHub integration
You must be an admin in both Slite and GitHub to set up the integration.
Slite supports per-team authentication. This means you set authentication for the entire workspace, just once.
There are two ways to connect GitHub to Slite:
Go to the
Integrations section in your Slite settings, click Add Integrations , then click Install next to GitHub.

Alternatively, you can paste a URL of a GitHub issue or PR in a Slite doc. You will then be prompted to allow Slite to connect to GitHub.
